24 rockpools were installed this week on the Ouistreham site. These unique works of art, hand-made by English artists (Artecology), are optimised for the MARINEFF project.
The M2C laboratory of the University of Caen Normandy is recruiting a post-doctoral student for 12 months from February 1st, 2020.

📅08.07.20: Shooting Marineff For a new kind of support, ESITC Caen and VINCI Construction France agreed to filming on a green background.🎬 Thanks to VRV Prod, Jebcam production and Caen Normandie Développement for offering us this opportunity for the Marineff project. The film will be broadcast during the 2020 Science Festival.
Designed by the Marineff partnership, manufactured by TPC (Vinci), they will be monitored by the University of Southampton after immersion in the Solent within the next few days.
On June 09, 2020 a press visit to TPC took place by the journalists FR3, Ouest France and la Presse de la Manche, during the production of the infrastructures of the Marineff project.
This press visit at TPC – production site of the specific habitats and dyke modules of the Marineff project, is an opportunity to share with you the related press articles, some photos and video.
The production of the marine infrastructures has restarted at TPC. In a few weeks, the oyster habitats will leave for Southampton and the dyke modules for Cherbourg and Bernières-sur-mer. We will share with you photos and videos of the immersion of the modules at sea.
The artificial rockpools, produced by Artecology, a company based in the Isle of Wight, are ready. These structures are hand made, unique pieces that required more than 4 months of work to obtain the 150 pieces required.
Following national recommendations, all Marineff project partners have ceased their activities and the universities and companies are closed.
