Bringing together engineers, ecologists and maritime professionals

The Marineff partners at a steering meeting in Cherbourg, France.

The Marineff project aims to tackle the lack of marine habitat associated with plain-form coastal infrastructure. To do so successfully, it was necessary to create a multidisciplinary base of partners to address issues found by the coastal management industries.

By involving marine ecologists, statistical analysts, researchers, coastal engineers, materials scientists, concrete experts, and construction and maritime industry professionals, we can access a wide variety of expertise that will assist with the evolution of Marineff’s ecological enhancement units. This will ensure that the units we bring to market at the end of the project duration will be economically viable, robust, mechanically sound and proven to enhance biodiversity on coastal infrastructure.
